Begin a chiller specification with the thermal requirements of the laser and processing optics. The laser’s optical output class does not directly state the heat that the cooling circuit must remove.
For a dual-circuit unit, confirm both operating-temperature requirements, flow and pressure limits, coolant requirements and connection sizes. Ask for performance at the intended ambient temperature and operating duty cycle. Electrical supply, refrigerant and available variants must match the actual installation.
Include alarms, interlocks, commissioning checks and maintenance access in the system specification. A similarly named chiller from a different revision should not inherit every field from an earlier catalogue table. Keep the approved configuration and manufacturer documentation with the equipment record.
