Novanta’s 60–100 W ti-series CO₂ lasers are used in applications including battery-separator cutting, cleaning non-metal materials such as battery-tab adhesive, high-speed marking on the fly, automotive-interior cutting and consumer electronics. The range’s technical basis includes Novanta’s patented hybrid unstable-resonator design, high-performance radio-frequency circuitry and optical quality intended to reduce spot diameter and deliver high power density at the workpiece.

The ti60 is described as a particularly popular model, with 9.3 µm, 10.2 µm and 10.6 µm wavelength options. The feature highlights the following advantages:

High output power, with typical output described as approximately 50% above the nominal rating.

High optical quality, fast pulses and stable, established operating performance.

Power options from 60 W to 100 W, with similar output levels across the three wavelength options.

Suitability for applications requiring high-speed scanning.

Models within the ti series

The ti60, ti80 and ti100 are compact CO₂ lasers with average output exceeding 60 W, 80 W and 100 W respectively. They address high-speed marking, cutting and 3D printing, with several wavelength options for different materials.

The compact pulsed ti100 CO₂ model provides peak power exceeding 300 W for precision cutting, drilling, perforating and marking of heat-sensitive materials.

The series also includes a 100 W fan-cooled model for OEMs and system integrators, allowing fan selection to suit the system. The feature describes an efficient cooling arrangement that can use relatively quiet fans, rather than the high noise associated with some comparable designs. It also describes an IP65 protection rating for resistance to dust and water ingress in dusty environments or equipment requiring regular cleaning.

Local assembly in China

The feature states that assembly and delivery of ti-series lasers began at Novanta’s Suzhou factory in late 2025, with additional models planned for local production during 2026. The stated aims are to respond to changing international conditions, serve Chinese customers more quickly, shorten delivery times and give local sales and engineering teams more direct access to customer requirements and after-sales support. Further model and application information is available from Novanta’s China team.
